Dhokra craft originated in the tribal regions of India, practiced in India for over 4,000 years, particularly in the states of Odisha, West Bengal, Jharkhand, and Chhattisgarh. It has a rich cultural and historical significance among tribal communities.

Technique: Artisans use a blend of brass and other metals such as copper and bronze with oldest techniques of craft involves a non-ferrous metal casting process using the lost wax method.

Usage: Including decorative items, jewellery, figurines and ritual objects.

Cultural Significance: Dhokra craft not only serves as a means of livelihood for artisans but also plays a significant role in preserving cultural heritage.
